It seems that Supergirl is officially getting another member to her team. Well it is a member that we knew was coming and now it’s a little more official.
On the television series’ own Twitter account, the network debuted an official poster teasing Mon-El’s Legion of Super-Heroes look. He also has his very own Legion flight ring. It appears that Mon-El (played by Chris Wood) we look very different from what we know of in the comic books.
In the comics, Mon-El is known to wear a costume similar to Superman’s, but with the colors inverted. His outfit is predominated by red with a blue cape, and a much smaller “S” crest on the left side of his chest. But they switched it up for the television series. Mon-El will be wearing a suit heavy on the dark blues, with only hints of red and gold on the chest portion. From what we can see it appears that he will have Kryptonian House of El logo in a bigger form. In a recent promo we see that the Legion will play a significant part in the second half of the season.
Supergirl returns Monday, January 15th on The CW.
