We are getting the Merc with a Mouth’s sequel this May, the 4th installment of the next X-men generation in X-men: Dark Phoenix in December and then the New Mutants which have been pushed back to February of next year. But lets not forget Fox has one more X-men property lined up that many were not sure was going to go into production. That property being X-force and the reason being the potential Fox/Disney merger.
A new report claims that X-Force will start shooting this October. If that does turn out to be true that would mean it would finish filming before the Disney deal can go through. this would potentially give the X-Force a late 2019 release date. It’s not how long it would take to fully integrate the X-men universe into the MCU.
Now of course these are just reports and nothing is set in stone as of now. There is no certainty to the future of Ryan Reynolds in the fourth wall breaking, foul mouthed superhero role and Deadpool 2 would seem like the perfect lead in to X-Force. Also seeing Reynolds in his own giant team up would be a great way to go out if its his final film. Let us know your thoughts? Are you hyped for an X-Force film?
