Now this may be a good or bad thing but the word around the campfire is that the reason in which 20th Century Fox’s The New Mutants is being delayed again is because supposedly a little over 50% of the movie is having to be re-shot.
The teenage mutant film was already pushed back by 10 months in January, from April 13, 2018 to Feb. 22, 2019, purportedly to ratchet up the horror elements, and to add another character. But NOW from news broke on Tuesday that The New Mutants will move again, Aug. 2, 2019.
Now According to Collider, director JoshBoone delivered a new cut of the film, but Fox executives expressed that they want more additional photography, to make sure that the mutant horror film has its own distinct and unique vibe similar to how both way Deadpool and Logan are. The article goes on to further say more than 50 percent of the film could end up being reshot, which again is to bring a new or multiple characters into the story.
