The Arrowverse is expanding once again and this time its adding another classic DC Comics character.  This time it is in the form of Kathy Kane aka Batwoman. She will be making her arrival in the next massive crossover that features all of the Arrowverse shows which include Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash and Supergirl. Kane was originally introduced in DC comics back in 1956 and was re-imagined into the “New 52”. Her character now is a Jewish lesbian which potentially means another superhero love affair for Sara Lance (played by Caity Lotz).

Arrow star Stephen Amell shared the amazing news at The CW’s upfront presentation. “We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be doing another crossover event this fall on the CW, and we’ll be introducing a new character,” Amell said. “For the very first time appearing, we’ll be fighting alongside Batwoman, which is terrific. The crossover is going to make it to air in December. I need to leave right now and start filming it.”

CW boss Mark Pedowitz added. “We are adding the city of Gotham into the Arrowverse,” “This will be another full-throttled, action-packed event.”

We have constantly been teased about the arrival of Gotham City within the Arrowverse. It was referenced in Supergirl by both Kara (Supergirl) who said her cousin has worked with a guy with a lot of tech and gadgets. Also by a couple who stated “we need to go back to Gotham” In The Flash in Season one the newspaper in which they kept going to about the future stated the Wayne Tech was merging with Queen Consolidated. Also in Arrow while Oliver Queen was still mayor of Star City and being questioned at a press conference mentioned both Gotham and Bruce Wayne by name.

Are you excited for Karly Kane’s arrival and are you hoping this will lead into seeing Bruce himself? Let us know what you think in the comments.
