It seems as if thanks to the power of Twitter we have the OFFICIAL title for the sequel to the blockbuster hit Wonder Woman.
Both director Patty Jenkins and Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot both took to Twitter today to not only give us what seems like a confirmation of the follow-up films title but also the return of a very important character in Wonder Woman’s life.
Now in both of the tweets we see “Wonder Woman 1984” and the hashtag #WW84, so it is pretty safe to assume that “Wonder Woman 1984” will be the name of the film. As we already know that the film is set to take place in the 1980s.
But the most peculiar and HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE thing is in Patty Jenkins tweet showing the return of Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. the biggest question that is and should be asked with that is “HOW?!?!?!”. If you remember in the first film he sacrificed himself during Wonder Woman’s final fight with Ares. He blows himself up in an airplane carrying bombs and poison. Now if you tell me that at that LAST moment a Green Lantern returned to pull him out the aircraft or that in this instance Diana is just hallucinating then I think it will all play out. If not it’s pretty much a safe bet that we will see both Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot being questioned in the form of that of Ricky Ricardo, “You got some ‘splaning to do.”
Let us know your thoughts, are you intrigued to now know the potential title of the movie and what are your thoughts on the “return” of Steve Trevor.
