“Will he, wont he?” That has been a phrase that has been tossed around to both Warner Bros. as well as DC Entertainment representatives for nearly a year when it comes to the speculation of whether Ben Aflleck would once again don the cape and cowl for Matt Reeves The Batman film.
Now it seems that we may have that answer and to some it will be praised and to others they will be upset. That answer is seemingly that he wont, this is after the Trade’s report that Matt Reeves first script draft of his upcoming DCEU film will focus on a younger Batman thus taking Aflleck out of the role.
Reportedly Reeves turned in the draft of the first act around Memorial Day weekend. Now that is in no way a complete film and there is still a LONG way to go for a completed script. But the focus within is set to be on a younger version of the Caped Crusader. It’s been said that Affleck is highly unlikely to return at this point to the franchise.
Are you excited about this news? Are you upset? Is this the direction you want to see them go in with this film. Let us know your thoughts.
