Jon Schnepp, director of the documentary “The Death of Superman Lives:What Happened” has passed away from complications due to a stroke at Age 51.
The announcement of Schnepp’s death was made by his fiancee, Holly Payne on her Twitter account.
Along with his extremely known and respected documentary, Schnepp directed 34 episodes of “Metapocalypse” between 2006 and 2013. Throughout his career, Schnepp worked as an animator on several projects, including “Aqua Teen Hunger Force,” “Space Ghost Coast to Coast,” “Black Panther” and most recently 2016’s “Nerdland.”
He also worked with the Collider entertainment site as host of Collider Heroes and until recently as a panelist on Collider Movie Talk.
Schnepp is survived by Payne, his sister, Deborah, his mother, Miriam, and his father, David. No memorial arrangements have been announced of yet.
