This is not the lead actor who will be playing the man who becomes Swamp Thing, Alec Holland but he will be portraying the earth-elemental in the physical costume. Derek Mears a 6′ 5″ actor/stuntman, best known for playing Jason Vorhees in the Friday the 13th reboot and Hawes in Hatchet III. He has also appeared in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Flash.
Mears joins Crystal Reed as Abigail Arcane and Maria Sten as Liz Tremayne. No oiffcial premiere date has been announced. Len Weismen is set to direct the pilot and executive produce.
