Since it was announced that Christian Bale was in talks to join Marvel Studios THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER there was all types of speculation as to who the former caped crusader would become. Now thanks to the new King of Asgard played by Tessa Thompson, it can be confirmed that Bale will indeed be the villain of the film.
Collider.com first broke the story of Thompson dropped this gem to ET during an interview, in which she also confirmed that she’s read a script for the highly anticipated sequel. it was also mentioned that Natalie Portman, who is returning to play Jane Foster who was not in THOR RAGNAROK made the decision to return the franchise after being impressed with that director Taika Waititi did in reinvigorating the franchise. Portman last appeared in the MCU in THOR THE DARK WORLD.
Exactly which villain Bale will become has yet to be disclosed. Many fans want to see him become Beta Ray Bill which would not be a bad decision AT ALL. However if that is the case expect Marvel Studios to switch the character up to have the villainous tendencies expected.
Filming on THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER begins later this year, THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER is scheduled to hit theaters on November 5, 2021.
