VENOM Sequel Is Delayed Until 2021

Due to the coronavirus global pandemic, It’s no surprise that most movies have been either pushed back a few months or even an entire year. But when those films were already set to drop later in this year it’s a little bit surprising.

VENOM:LET THERE BE CARNAGE,” the sequel to Sony’s 2018 superhero blockbuster, has now delayed its big screen debut. The Tom Hardy starring sequel was expected to hit theaters Oct. 2, 2020 but now will instead launch eight months later on June 25, 2021.

This may not be a bad move for the movie. Granted the original VENOM debuted in October and the sequel was following suit. This now allows for  the film to be amongst the summer blockbuster list of 2021.

Andy Serkis takes over the directing chair from Ruben Fleischer for the follow-up to “VENOM,” which sees Tom Hardy once again bond with the alien symbiote known as Venom. The sequel will also feature the return of  Michelle Williams and added on will b, Reid Scott, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kassidy aka Carnage.
