Could SILVER AND BLACK Potentially Be A Disney Plus Series

Spider-Man-Sony-Marvel-Silver-and-Black

Remember back in December of 2017 when it was announced that Silver Sable and Black Cat would be teaming up for their own movie?  They were set be brought  together as an unlikely duo. But that ulitmately changed as it was decided to give the pair their own individual films. However nothing set in stone has been announced about that.

Well there may be a bit of sterling (as is Silver, get it?…) news about the pair. During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, original director Gina Prince-Bythewood was asked what she knows about the project and from what was told it seems as if there may be some rumblings leading the ladies towards Disney plus

“I really love that project, and I do hope it can still happen in some way. It keeps going through different thoughts. First, it was going to be the two of them, and then the decision was made to separate the two. Now, there’s a thought of “Hey, maybe we put it on Disney+ as a limited series,” but I loved it more as a film with the two of them. So, my hope is that one day it can still happen.”

Now here’s where it may get confusing for some. It is already known that Sony has laid out plans to bring many Spider-man related characters to the big screen. MORBIUS now being set to release in March of 2021, VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE in June of 2021, there’s even talks of a Kraven the Hunter film.  Sony also has their own plan for their own Spider-verse that is not that of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Which now leads to the even bigger conundrum. Marvel TV is now all under the control of Marvel Studios and why all of the upcoming MCU Disney plus shows are carrying on into the overall story. SILVER AND BLACK by that account would not fit in with the overall story and would throw things off.

So that leaves the question, if SILVER AND BLACK is brought to the small screen
