It is becoming a surreal couple of weeks for Warner Media. 1st the announcement that the, Zack Snyder cut of Justice League will be coming to HBO Max then today the launching of the new streaming platform and now news has come out that Henry Cavill is in talks to put back on his bodysuit and cape as the man of steel for multiple DC movies.
The report was first released by THE WRAP, It is being reported that the full extent of Cavill’s return to the role — whether just for additional work to be done for the upcoming “Snyder Cut” of “Justice League” or for appearances in future films — has not been disclosed. This also includes a sequel to the Zack Snyder helmed MAN OF STEEL.
Now if you can recall, after the unsuccessful theatrical run of JUSTICE LEAGUE Warner Bros.went into sort of a dismantling and rebuilding mode. This was from leadership to was rethinking its overall strategy for DC Comics movies, moving away from the shared universe approach and toward standalone films.
A few months after Cavill departed his role, so did Batman actor Ben Affleck. Aflleck who was supposed to write, direct and star in the planned standalone THE BATMAN. The film has since been rewritten to focus on a younger Dark Knight and Robert Pattinson has since been cast in the role.
One thing that can be for sure throughout all of this, Cavill will more than likely not have any jarring mustache issues.
What are your thoughts on this and what do you think Cavill’s role will be.

It seems that Rose never got used to the long hours required to be the lead of a television show as well she did not really like well lets say never got adjusted to life in Vancouver where the show is primarily filmed.
According to TV Line’s source, “It wasn’t 100-percent her decision,” The source goes on further to say “It was a breakup. She wasn’t happy working on the show, and did that make her fun to work with? No. So everyone decided it would be in the best interests of the show, and for all concerned, if they parted ways. It just wasn’t a good fit.
Either way we may not know the full story until Ruby Rose gives her statement on this matter. But we do know that she will no longer be in the cape and cowl and come next season there will be a new Kate Kane.
Whelp…… it’s finally happening. After a couple of years of rumors, doubts, hashtags, campaigns, tweets and an overloaded Vero account, the Zack Snyder cut of JUSTICE LEAGUE will be available for the world to view in 2021 on the upcoming HBO MAX streaming service. The news was delivered by Snyder himself as he surprised fans this morning during a live online commentary of his film MAN OF STEEL with Henry Cavill.
Snyder acknowledged the overwhelming support of the fans who began the rally cut with the #ReleaseTheSynderCut hashtag all across social media. He stated, “I want to thank HBO Max and Warner Brothers for this brave gesture of supporting artists and allowing their true visions to be realized. Also a special thank you to all of those involved in the SnyderCut movement for making this a reality,”
Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, Warner Media Entertainment and Direct-To-Consumer spoke on the release of the director’s cut of the film coming to the streaming platform, “Since I got here 14 months ago, the chant to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut has been a daily drumbeat in our offices and inboxes. Well, the fans have asked, and we are thrilled to finally deliver. At the end of the day, it really is all about them and we are beyond excited to be able to release Zack’s ultimate vision for this film in 2021. This could never have happened if it weren’t for the hard work and combined efforts of the teams at HBO Max and Warner Bros. Pictures.”
When speaking on this monumental moment, Toby Emmerich, Chairman, Warner Bros. Pictures Group said, “Thanks to the efforts of a lot people, we’re excited to bring fans this highly anticipated version of Justice League,” He goes on further to say“This feels like the right time to share Zack’s story, and HBO Max is the perfect platform for it. We’re glad the creative planets aligned, allowing us to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut.”
An exact date for the films release has not yet been announced. The theatrical edition of JUSTICE LEAGUE was released on November 17,2017. HBO Max arrives on May 27th of this year.
This movie honestly feels as if it is being tortured when it comes to a theatrical release. THE NEW MUTANTS has once again a new release date of August 28, 2020 as announced by 20th Century Studios today.
The film which was shot back in 2017 was originally shot in 2017 was supoosed to first be released April 13, 2018, before being pushed back 10 months to Feb. 22, 2019, and later moved to Aug. 2, 2019. From there then it was supposed to release on April 3 of this year (2020) but of course COVID-19 changed that.
The Josh Boone directed film was originally set to undergo reshoots but was unable to due to Maisie Williams, GAME OF THRONES shooting schedule. There also were rumors of Jon Hamm being cast as Mr. Sinister but his role was replaced by Benecio Del Toro.
Remember back in December of 2017 when it was announced that Silver Sable and Black Cat would be teaming up for their own movie? They were set be brought together as an unlikely duo. But that ulitmately changed as it was decided to give the pair their own individual films. However nothing set in stone has been announced about that.
Well there may be a bit of sterling (as is Silver, get it?…) news about the pair. During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, original director Gina Prince-Bythewood was asked what she knows about the project and from what was told it seems as if there may be some rumblings leading the ladies towards Disney plus
“I really love that project, and I do hope it can still happen in some way. It keeps going through different thoughts. First, it was going to be the two of them, and then the decision was made to separate the two. Now, there’s a thought of “Hey, maybe we put it on Disney+ as a limited series,” but I loved it more as a film with the two of them. So, my hope is that one day it can still happen.”
Now here’s where it may get confusing for some. It is already known that Sony has laid out plans to bring many Spider-man related characters to the big screen. MORBIUS now being set to release in March of 2021, VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE in June of 2021, there’s even talks of a Kraven the Hunter film. Sony also has their own plan for their own Spider-verse that is not that of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Which now leads to the even bigger conundrum. Marvel TV is now all under the control of Marvel Studios and why all of the upcoming MCU Disney plus shows are carrying on into the overall story. SILVER AND BLACK by that account would not fit in with the overall story and would throw things off.
So that leaves the question, if SILVER AND BLACK is brought to the small screen
Due to the coronavirus global pandemic, It’s no surprise that most movies have been either pushed back a few months or even an entire year. But when those films were already set to drop later in this year it’s a little bit surprising.
“VENOM:LET THERE BE CARNAGE,” the sequel to Sony’s 2018 superhero blockbuster, has now delayed its big screen debut. The Tom Hardy starring sequel was expected to hit theaters Oct. 2, 2020 but now will instead launch eight months later on June 25, 2021.
This may not be a bad move for the movie. Granted the original VENOM debuted in October and the sequel was following suit. This now allows for the film to be amongst the summer blockbuster list of 2021.
Andy Serkis takes over the directing chair from Ruben Fleischer for the follow-up to “VENOM,” which sees Tom Hardy once again bond with the alien symbiote known as Venom. The sequel will also feature the return of Michelle Williams and added on will b, Reid Scott, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kassidy aka Carnage.
