CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS Brings Together The Arrowverse And The DCEU

crisis

Many people believed that it would NEVER happen and that the worlds of the Arrowverse on The CW and the DC Film Universe would ever intertwine or cross over. Well now that has all been SHATTERED.

In the fourth episode of the CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS crossover, the two met as Ezra Miller’s THE FLASH met Grant Gustin’s THE FLASH. This happened as Oliver Queen, now as The Spectre gave Barry Allen a boost in his speed potential and allowed him to run into the speed force. While in there he is taken to the STAR Labs cortex and is met up by Miller.

The two Flashes then jokingly banter back and forth in disbelief before Miller disappears and then Gustin returns to the speed force.

The CW’s flagship superhero show ARROW is set to end this year after its 8th and final season. Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) is expected to meet his final demise during the CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS crossover this season, which will also be the final episode for the show.

But even though Oliver Queen will be gone, the heroics of the Green Arrow will still live on. The CW has set a spin-off that will be headlined by Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy and Juliana Harkavy.

The backdoor pilot for the upcoming series will be set as an episode during the upcoming final season of ARROW. The new superhero show is set to follow Mia Smoak (McNamara) as the new Green Arrow as well as the Canaries, Laurel Lance (Cassidy) and Dinah Drake (Harkavy).

This is not the first time that ARROW has been utilized to give shows in the arrowverse a backdoor pilot. This was the case with THE FLASH.

No date has yet been given for the airing of the upcoming spin-off series.

Brandon Routh Dons His Superman Symbol At Comic-Con

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, its……Brandon Routh showing off a preview of the Superman emblem he will rock during the Arrowverse CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS crossover later this year.

It had recently been announced that Routh who currently plays Dr.Ray Palmer/The Atom would be donning the “S” on his chest and the Kingdom Come version of Superman while Tyler Hoechlin will reprise his Superman character from SUPERGIRL. To see Routh rip open his outer shirt with a t-shirt was such a great treat for the crowd in attendance in Ballroom 20.

Now the question is will The Atom and Routh’s Superman come face to face.

It is less than a month away until the 50th anniversary of San Diego Comic Con is upon us. One of the notable things will be the heavy WBTV presence throughout Ballroom 20. With that one of the focuses will be be that of the CW’s Arrowverse.

The reason for this is not only will it be the eighth and final season of ARROW but also is the mega CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS crossover. This will bring together BATWOMAN, ARROW, THE FLASH, SUPERGIRL, LEGENDS OF TOMORROW and no one is sure yet if BLACK LIGHTNING will fall into the fray.

We dont know fully what to expect yet in regards to the crossover or their respective shows  but it seems as though we may have a bit of a tease from Arrowverse executive consultant and former ARROW showrunner Marc Guggenheim.  Guggenheim took to Twitter to tease of the potential Crisis-size announcement.
