MTEp34Logo

Ladies and gentlemen, nerds, blerds and the rest, the resident super villain, Jay Washington is back with the 34th edition of The Mad Titan Podcast and this time we are in the thick of it as Jay recaps all of the happenings in the marvel and DC live action and cinematic universes after the events of the 50th anniversary of San Diego Comic Con.

With a episode so jam packed Jay went out and got someone just as nerdy….let’s stop lying they were both on the train together and this should have been happened. Jay is with the founder of Geeks Of Color and the social media manager for Collider Video, Dorian Parks.

This turns out to be one of the wildest and rawest episodes as they record while aboard an over sold train heading from San Diego. They get deep into all of the major news to come out of Hall H, Ballroom 20 and more. Oh yeah there are a few drinks involved.

So sit back, relax and get ready for an overload of insanity in this wild episode.

Wesley Snipes Working On New Blade Projects With Marvel

images

The first Blade recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Wesley Snipes who starred as the half-human half-vampire slayer helped to legitimize comic book movies. During a recent interview Snipes spoke about upcoming Blade Projects, how it could fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and even a Blade 4.

“There are a lot of conversations going around right now and we’re very blessed to have the enthusiasm and interest in something coming from that world again. We’ve created two projects that fit perfectly into this world and, when people see them, I think they’re only going to have a problem with deciding which one they love the most.”

It’s been no secret that Snipes has expressed his wantingnto take on the role again. Also with helping to erase what people remembered of both Blade II and the barely mentioned Blade:Trinity

“All the main execs [at Marvel] and my team, we’ve been discussing for the past two years. Everyone’s enthusiastic about it, everybody gets it. But they got a business to run and they gotta square the things that they gotta figure out before they can get to it, I guess. In the meantime, we got a business to run and our own slate of things to do so…But the next time you see something in [the Blade universe], mark my words: what we did before is child’s play compared to what we can do now.”

The trilogy of Blade movies made a total of $415 million at the box office. Which was compared to today’s box office and market was NOTHING. But still great for a comic book based film.  Once Avengers 4 comes out, the door is wide open for who knows what to happen in the MCU. Why not use that opportunity to bring back Blade? Kevin Feige previously indicated that the character’s return was an eventuality, it’s just a matter of when or where. As for the who? If Wesley Snipes has his way, it’s going to be him once again. You can check out the full interview with Wesley Snipes over at Vice.
