Lisseth Chavez Joins DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW For Season 6

Lisseth Chavez

The cast around the misfits known as DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW is steadily growing as it has now added former CHICAGO P.D. star, Lisseth Chavez as Esperanze “Spooner” Cruz heading into the show’s sixth season.

Cruz who is described as tough and self-sufficient,lives off the grid, devising ingenious tech for the detection of — and defense against — space aliens. And while some might call her paranoid, she calls it being prepared. A survivor of a childhood alien encounter, Spooner now believes she has the ability to communicate telepathically with aliens — making her the perfect recruit for Waverider captains Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan) and the Legends who, in season six, will be hunting down extraterrestrials who have been displaced throughout history. If you recall in the season finale Sara is abducted by aliens.

Executive producer Grainne Godfrey goes on to describe Chavez’ Cruz by saying that “She is a young Latinx woman from Texas, who was kidnapped by aliens and has a third for vengeance. She’s not going to be the loveable losers that we normally have, she’s going to be pretty tough and gives it to the other Legends and they’re going to have to react to her and I think it’s going to throw them off their feet a little bit.”

The LEGENDS will return for a sixth season in 2021.

We now have our first look at Brandon Routh is suited up as Kingdom Come Superman from 1996 in this first-look photo from The CW. Routh who starred in SUPERMAN RETURNS (2006) is back in the cape once again as a greying older version of the Man of Steel for The CW’s upcoming CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS crossover event.

The different iteration of the symbol on his chest is that of the the compromised, world-weary version introduced in the landmark DC Comics saga KINGDOM COME . Routh will portray both Clark Kent and Superman along with still portraying Ray Palmer/The Atom  on DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW in the annual CW Arrowverse crossover event.

Routh won’t be the only one flying up in the skies like a bird, like a plane, SMALLVILLE star Tom Welling as well as Tyler Hoechlin, who has been the Superman for the Arrowverse shows on The CW since being introduced in SUPERGIRL.

We Know Who One Of The Big Bad For Season 5 Of DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Will Be

DCs-Legends-Of-Tomorrow-CW-Season-4-Poster

If you remember in the most recent season of DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, John Constantine (Matt Ryan) was trying to help save the soul of Astra who was trapped in hell thanks to Constantine only to ultimately resent him.

Well it has been revealed that Astra (Olivia Swann) has been promoted to series regular and will be one of the “big bads” of the season. So this will be very interesting seeing how this all plays out and even if it connects with the CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS crossover storyline. The

An exact release date for Legends of Tomorrow season 5 has not been revealed, but it’s believed the season will be premiering sometime in January 2020.

A CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS Sized Announcement Teased For Comic Con

crisis.jpg

It is less than a month away until the 50th anniversary of San Diego Comic Con is upon us. One of the notable things will be the heavy WBTV presence throughout Ballroom 20. With that one of the focuses will be be that of the CW’s Arrowverse.

The reason for this is not only will it be the eighth and final season of ARROW but also is the mega CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS crossover. This will bring together BATWOMAN, ARROW, THE FLASH, SUPERGIRL, LEGENDS OF TOMORROW and no one is sure yet if BLACK LIGHTNING will fall into the fray.

We dont know fully what to expect yet in regards to the crossover or their respective shows  but it seems as though we may have a bit of a tease from Arrowverse executive consultant and former ARROW showrunner Marc Guggenheim.  Guggenheim took to Twitter to tease of the potential Crisis-size announcement.

DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Sizzle Reel Gives Us A Look At The NEW Arrowverse Trinity

DCs-Legends-Of-Tomorrow-CW-Season-4-Poster

The craziest and zaniest show within the Arrowverse is back in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. After a mid-season break the time traveling crew is back continuing on their journey of tracking down magical creatures. Before the madness begins we get to see the crew give us their best impression of The Flash, Green Arrow and Supergirl.

Along with that in the two-minute promo we get a look at the Legends’ upcoming adventures, which seem to involve lucha libre, a superhero-themed Bollywood musical and even a trip to Disney World with Richard Nixon. Even though there will be much “fun had” it doesn’t stray away from the Legends main goal and that’s stopping Neron and his attempts to open up the gates of hell.

Have a look at the sizzle reel and join the Legends when they return on Monday April 1st 8 pm ET/PT on The CW

New ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Poster Gives A First Look At Maisie Richardson-Sellers In New Role

DCs-Legends-Of-Tomorrow-CW-Season-4-Poster

The Time Traveling group of heroes is back for their fourth season and now we have a new poster to show the new additions to the team and even a new look for an old member of sorts.

Yesterday afternoon the CW released its official poster for the upcoming season of Legends and in it we see Maisie Richardson-Sellers in a new look look tied to her new role. If you remember on the season finale of last season Amaya (Richardson-Sellers) chose to go back to her place in time and to her country of Zambesi and the legends finally defeated Mallus. It was said that Sellers was going to remain a regular cast member of the show.

Of course the show runners were very tight lipped on the full details and how exactly that would play out and when Richardson-Sellers was asked about the role at Comic Con in San Diego of this year she said,  “I’m playing a new character called Charlie, and she is a magical fugitive. She’s a bit of a rebel trickster, a bit of an anarchist, this punk rock kid. The Legends stumble upon her and [have to] decide whether she is a friend or a foe.

In the poster (below) we get our first look at Charlie, who is sporting a drastically different appearance than the more conservative Amaya. Plus, we also get to see John Constantine (Matt Ryan) join the team as well as Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan) and Nora Darhk (Courtney Ford), who were both also upped to series regulars.

DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow returns Oct 22nd on The CW

Wally West Will Not Be Speeding Through Regularly in The Arrowverse Anymore

KF_lr_57845fd140a5c6.45575171

It seems as if everybody’s hopes of having Wally West back as part of Team Flash on a regular basis have been brought down. Keiynan Lonsdale who played Kid Flash will not be returning as a series regular to The Flash nor will he be one of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow either.

But there is no need to be fully upset because he is not leaving the show altogether he will be in the season 5 premiere of The Flash but what happens after that is yet to be seen.

Legends Of Tomorrow Gives Us A Season 4 Synopsis and Poster

DCs-Legends-Of-Tomorrow-CW-Season-4-Poster

The third season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow was a perfect culmination of another hilarious and adventurous trek through time and history with unexpected implications. We saw all six of the totems of Zambesi be used to form a giant Beebo to defeat Mallus (even though many of us were really hoping for Voltron) and once our heroes seemingly with the new inclusion of Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) were able to relax knowing time had been restored.

That was until John Constantine (Matt Ryan) showed up with a dragon’s head and informed the captain, Sara Lance that upon freeing Mallus they opened up time and history to an entire new horde of threats. The season finale also saw “Vixen”, Amaya return home to her village in Zambesi to her rightful place in time and leave her budding relationship with Nate Heywood.

Now this sounds pretty much simple as to guess how we would be rolling into season four, right? Well maybe not, a new synopsis of Season 4 has been released as well as a poster of the team that may raise a few eyebrows. Check out the synopsis below.

After defeating the demon Mallus by cuddling him to death with a giant stuffed animal named Beebo, the Legends are ready to ease off the gas. Sara (Caity Lotz) and her team join Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan) and the Time Bureau to help clean up the last few remaining anachronisms. The job seems straightforward enough until Constantine (Matt Ryan) arrives to inform them that, in solving one major problem, they have created another, much larger one. When the Legends let time crumble in order to release and defeat Mallus, the barrier between worlds softened. History is now infected with “Fugitives” – magical creatures from myths, fairytales, and legends. Having been expelled throughout time by people like Constantine, these Fugitives are now returning to our world in droves and making a real mess of things. As the Time Bureau is distrustful of and ill-equipped to deal with magic, the Legends must team up with everyone’s favorite demonologist to set history back on track.

Sara and Constantine are joined by compassionate inventor Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), hotheaded ex-con Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell), rebellious totem-bearer Zari (Tala Ashe), and heartbroken historian-turned-superhero Nate (Nick Zano) as they set out to save the world – and their legacy. It’s the familiar fun of the Legends time-travelling across historical events and encountering famous figures with an added shot of magical craziness!

Now if you noticed, Ava Sharpe is not in the poster, more than likely her full duties as director of the Time Bureau may keep her not as involved even though its been stated that she will indeed return as a series regular for this upcoming season. Also not in the poster is Wally West. It was said that he is supposed to be a regular on the show but could he possibly be returning to The Flash??.

Another item that has piqued interest is the inclusion of Amaya in the poster but not in the synopsis. How might that play out when we was saw her she was stating that she wanted to stay with her village.
