Even though it was extremely exciting to hear the Kamala Khan  would be getting her on show on Disney + in MS MARVEL there has yet to be word as to who would be portraying the superhero.

But some very interesting and intriguing casting news seemingly hints that not only are we getting Khan but also a visitor in wait for it …an INHUMAN

According to The Illuminderdi, both Red Dagger and Kamran are currently being cast for the series. Kamran is specifically named as an Inhuman in the breakdown. Now everyone who remembers (and more than likely wants to forget) the failed ABC show INHUMANS and how it seemed that they would never be spoken of again. Well it seems now that Marvel Studios has the reins of all of the properties a reboot can be given a chance.

For those unfamiliar with Red Dagger, aka Kareem,in the comics he is a student from Khan’s neighborhood in Pakistan who operates as a costumed vigilante by night. It’s said that there will be “an undeniable romantic connection between him and Kamala” on the show.

Kamran, meanwhile, shares an Inhuman bond with Kamala and becomes her ally before ultimately betraying her. Now this may or may not happen within the show but he is described as being a “morally corrupt Inhuman” in the breakdown.

The breaking says that Marvel is currently searching for two actors in the 17 to 25-year-old age range to play these Muslim supporting characters.

Could ALL Of The Marvel Television Shows Soon Be Falling Under The Marvel Studios Banner?

Loki

One of the big things that Marvel Studios is doing on top of the Phase 4 and 5 movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the big MCU TV shows they are producing for the Disney plus streaming site. Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige is developing a number of big budget TV shows for the Disney+ streaming service. But now it seems that may not be all because days after Hulu pulled the plug on GHOST RIDER, it’s now believed that all future live-action small screen productions will fall solely under Feige’s Marvel Studios banner.

A Marvel Television insider recently told Variety that they at HULU have “several” live-action projects in the works. But for know the only one that known is HELSTROM as the rest have either been scrapped or have uncertain futures. RUNAWAYS and CLOAK AND DAGGER (both which are set to air upcoming seasons) have yet to be renewed beyond their upcoming seasons.

It’s being reported that the plan now is for Marvel Studios to basically be in charge of everything to ensure that the stories put out there are of a consistent quality. With the Disney+ shows, “Marvel Studios execs and Feige held meetings early on to discuss how to maintain the visual standard fans have come to expect from Marvel’s films while still bringing their budgets more in line with other TV shows.”

Marvel Television has never really recovered from the embarrassment of THE INHUMANS, which many do not like to speak of. Along with the cancellations of the Marvel Netflix shows it is very understandable. But the animated projects which are set to hit HULU are still all set to go .

Now, it sounds like Marvel Television’s future projects will mostly be of the animated variety.

Another ‘Game Of Thrones’ Stars joins the Marvel Universe

Iwan Rheon

When you want to get a bad guy/girl for your tv show, your best bet may be to go with someone who has the experience

It’s been reported that “Game of Thrones” star Iwan Rheon has been cast as the lead in Marvel’s “Inhumans” series for ABC.

Rheon recently starred as the villainous Ramsay Bolton on HBO’s “Game of Thrones.”

Based on the classic Marvel comic book characters created by by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, “Inhumans” tells the story of a race of super-powered beings who first appeared in Marvel Comics publications in 1965. Inhuman characters appeared last season on ABC drama “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.” The new series, however, will not be a spinoff of “SHIELD.” It will focus on Black Bolt, the leader of the Inhumans, and his family.

Rheon will play Maximus the Mad, Black Bolt’s younger brother — intelligent, charming and articulate, he comes across as man of the people but secretly covets power. Rheon’s character was memorably killed off of “Game of Thrones” toward the end of last season.

“Iwan’s ability to be charming, roguish, and still completely unexpectedly dangerous were all the different sides we needed to bring the character to life. We’re thrilled to have him on board,” said Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Television and executive producer.

“Inhumans” is set to premiere this fall on ABC, which gave it a straight-to-series order last year. The first two episodes will premiere in IMAX theaters before the broadcast debut. Produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios, the series is executive produced by Scott Buck, who will serve as showrunner. Buck is also executive producer and showrunner on Netflix’s upcoming Marvel drama series “Iron Fist.”
