Season one of DOOM PATROL on the DC Universe took the world by storm. With interesting characters, adult humor and so much more, when the season ended people have been chomping at the bit for the second season. This is especially since TITANS has already aired its 2nd season and currently filming its third.
Now there is some exciting casting news coming out about the team of doomed souls (Abigail Shapiro will play Dorothy Spinner) and this announcement has a major connection to one of the not so likely heroes.
Karen Obilom (GAMES PEOPLE PLAY) has landed a recurring role as Roni Evers according to DEADLINE. Evers is reportedly “a military veteran with a mysterious past who Vic Stone/Cyborg (Wade) meets while attending a PTSD support group.”
It seems that the two characters may start off bonding over their traumatic experiences, and it will eventually go wrong. Obilom appears to be playing a gender-bent version of Ronald Evers, a character that eventually becomes one of Cyborg’s foes and a cyborg himself.
DOOM PATROL season 2 does not currently have a premiere date, but Diane Guerrero, Brendan Frasier, Jovian Wade, Timothy Dalton, April Bowlby, and Matt Bomer have been confirmed to return.

The second live action series that will be starting soon on the DC Universe streaming platform, Doom Patrol, is giving us our first looks at Joivan Wade as Cyborg and Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane in both a new teaser and photos.
The “awkward family photo” teaser – gives us our first look at Joivan Wade as Cyborg, Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, and Timothy Dalton as Dr. Niles Caulder/The Chief. Matt Bomer’s Negative Man, Brendan Fraser’s Robotman, and April Bowlby’s Elasti-Woman made their debut in episode 4 of Titans , while Dr. Caulder was played by Bruno Bichir, before Dalton was cast in the role.
Check out the teaser below.
We are also treated to “coming-attraction” like poster of each of the “doomed” ones.
Doom Patrol arrives February 15, 2019 exclusively on the DC Universe.
We now know who will play the critical role of Cyborg in the DC Universes, Doom Patrol. Joivan Wade (The First Purge) will be portraying Victor Stone a.k.a Cyborg who brings together the unlikely group of heroes.
The breakdown for Wade’s Cyborg is “charming and sarcastic, Vic may be connected to every computer on the world, but he struggles to maintain the connections that make him human. Desperate to gain acceptance from the outside world, Vic harnesses the curse of his cybernetic body and uses his powers as the ultimate hero for the digital age.” This is pretty much canon when it comes to the character of Cyborg in the comics and even briefly is the Justice League film.
There is not much about the overall synopsis of the show’s first season on DC’s new streaming service. But what we do have a brief one into Cyborg. Cyborg will have an integral role to play throughout the series as he recruits the five reluctant, borderline outcast, heroes and offers them a mission that will prove to be hard to refuse and that promises to take them to the weirdest and most unexpected corners of the DC universe, although it will also come with a warning that the fivesome would be foolish to ignore.
Its that time of year again what the cinematic version of America releases its yearly pent up stress and frustration with the annual Purge. This time around we are finding out how it all began and how the New Founding Fathers of America rose to power in the prequel film.
Set in the New York burrough of Staten Island. We are treated to the origins of the rise to power of the NFFA and how they figure out a way to “lessen the burden of Americans” with a controversial experiment aptly known as the Purge.
The First Purge stars Y’Lan Noel, Lex Scott Davis and Joivan Wade.
