We are still getting a solo film based on the scarlet speedster. The Flash as it will now be named and not Flashpoint as previously called, is currently getting an overhaul in its script by directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. The two directors were finally locked in after much shuffling around in the directors chair position.
Currently there is no solid release nor shooting expectation date but Kiersey Clemons who was set to play Iris West has chimed in about a potential timetable. Yes. What I will say is that [Warner Bros. gets] to approve every job that I do and, so far, I’m not doing Flash for the rest of the year, we know that. I’m doing other things. But let’s hope for 2019.”
It seems as if Warner Bros may end up trying to rush production to hopefully shoot for a
possible 2020 release. But something says this is not what fans may want to hear even though they have been wanting the solo Flash project to hit the big screen.
In today’s “Of course Warner Bros Is making a questionable decision” news. Before she even has a chance to debut in the DCEU it seems as if Kiersey Clemons may be looking for a new role.
So reports are beginning to surface suggesting that Warner Bros. is looking to recast the role of Iris West ahead of its seemingly problematic The Flash: Flashpoint film.
Just in case you may have forgotten because of course you haven’t seen her, Actress Kiersey Clemons WAS set to make her debut as Iris West in this year’s Justice League ahead of her appearance in Flashpoint. Her cameo in the film was ultimately cut, but the sequence did manage to leak online shortly after Justice League hit theaters.
Oh yeah in case you needed another reminder of how much catastrophe is involved with this project there STILL is no director attached to Flashpoint. Also the initial future of this film rested on the overall success of Justice League so who knows what is really going to happen with this film.
Here is where you insert a Kanye shrug.
