MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D may be coming to an end on ABC but it seems as if it may not be the last superhero show we will see on the television network.

During the winter TCA press tour, ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke said that she was looking forward to working with Marvel Studios President and Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige. She also made it be known that they had not discussed specifically which of the Marvel comics based characters would be suited for broadcast television.

“We love our partners at Marvel and we’re sad to see [Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D] go, it’s been a big part of our history. We’re looking forward to working with Kevin Feige and we’re at the very beginning of conversations with him now about what a Marvel and ABC show might look like. Right now, Marvel’s focus has been on Disney+, as it should be,” This from Burke as she spoke with DEADLINE.

Who would you like to see fill the broadcast television hole that will be left behind after AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D takes its final bow?

MARVEL’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D To End After Season 7

While many are getting hyped up about the return of MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D for its sixth and follow up seventh season as well as hours before its Comic-Con panel in Hall H, it has been announced that the Marvel TV show will come to an end after its seventh season.

It is worth noting that ABC had already announced that the seventh batch of episodes would be shorter that previous seasons and of course many assumed that the show would finally be coming to an end, despite countless rumors of its impending cancellations before these upcoming seasons were announced.

However there may be a ray of sunshine amidst this bad news which is, that the people working on the show can now ensure that we get a satisfying and complete story ending. not like the Netflix Marvel that all ended abruptly due to their sudden cancellations.

How do you feel about this news? Are you sad to see the show come to an end?

New AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D Trailer Gives Us A Look At Life With and Without Coulson

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is making its return for its shorter sixth season. After is recent season many people were wondering the fate of Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and it seems that the first trailer for the new season might have some answers or just make things a bit more confusing. Because it seems that one minute we get a hologram version of Coulson, then towards the end…..well you have to check it out for yourself.

According to the trailer there seem to be no reference to any of the events of Avengers: Infinity War or Avengers: Endgame but the team is dealing with threats from many aliens as well as powered individuals.  Coulson is also set to appear in Captain Marvel before the arrival of this new season.

Fitz is still frozen in space and the team is searching for him and so much more. Even with a short season we can expect to see A LOT of action and a cliff hanger as the seventh season has already been announced.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D Gets Renewed For 7th Season

The heroes that fight the battles in the MCU that we do not know about will be returning for a 7th season. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D has just been renewed for its 7th season.  This announcement comes just six months after it was announced that the show would be returning for its sixth season.

Many people believed that the sixth would be the final season given that the main character in Phil Coulson (played by Clark Gregg) had died in a sense but potentially not. The universe of comic book tv shows always tend to offer a twist.

The series stars Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie and Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez.

‘Black Lightning’ has added its final lead to upcoming series

Allow me to say that the anticipation for this show is steadily climbing higher and higher. Joining Cress Williams as Jefferson Pierce and Nafessa Williams and China Anne McLain as his daughters, Anissa and Jennifer, on The CW’s Black Lightning will be Christine Adams as the former superhero’s ex-wife, Lynn Stewart

Adams will probably be best known for playing Agent Weaver during the first two seasons of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but she’s also appeared in the likes of Batman Begins, Tron: Legacy, and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Deadline describes this small-screen take on Lynn Stewart as a woman “who exudes confidence and intelligence. Although she’s got a mischievous side, she’s not one to be trifled with when it comes to family”.

Black Lightning will be written and produced by Salim Akil and Mara Brock Akil, alongside Greg Berlanti. There’s no set premiere date just yet.

Check Out Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider

Well a big thank you indeed goes out to Entertainment Weekly for this one. We were wondering what would the Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider character (played by Gabriel Luna) on the 3rd season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D would look like and now we have it.

I’d have to say its pretty spot on to its comic book counter part even though we only see him in human form. More than likely ABC and Marvel are saving the FLAMING reveal for the actual tv show and do not want to spoil it.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns Tuesday, Sept. 20 on ABC, in the new time slot of 10 p.m./9 p.m. Central.
