Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson aka The Falcon, and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier. The pair, who came together in the final moments of “Avengers: Endgame,” team up on a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience. Directed by Kari Skogland with Malcolm Spellman serving as head writer, the series also stars Daniel Brühl as Zemo, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker.

The director who will bring the limited series to the Disney plus streaming service is a great choice as well. Kari Skogland is an Emmy-nominated, BAFTA award-winning director, showrunner and CEO of Mad Rabbit a Red Arrow Studios company, which launched in 2016. She has directed episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale.
The 6 part miniseries is set to hit the streaming platform in August of 2020 with Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprising their roles of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier respectively. Now (spoiler alert) the ending of AVENGERS ENDGAME which shows Sam Wilson (Mackie) receiving the shield and thus the mantle of Captain America from Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). It is said that choice will play into the series but Marvel Studios has yet to go into detail of exactly how.
Also in the series Daniel Bruhl, who portrayed Zemo in CAPTAIN AMERICA CIVIL WAR and Emily Van Camp who was Sharon Carter aka Agent 13 in CAPTAIN AMERICA THE WINTER SOLDIER and CAPTAIN AMERICA CIVIL WAR will also be returning in their roles as well.
