First and FOREMOST this may include spoilers for Avengers Infinity War so if you dont want those come back to this article after you have seen the movie. But if you are cool with it…….HERE……WE……GO….
Now after the events of Infinity War more so the post credit scene, we saw Nick Fury use a long distance pager (yup a souped up beeper) to contact someone. We see after the transmission sends that someone is indeed the symbol of Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel.
We have to wait into March to get the Captain Marvel film which is an origin story set in the 90s, where we are getting Academy Award winner Brie Larson taking on the role of Danvers an air force pilot who is bestowed extraordinary abilities when she encounters the Kree warrior known as Mar-Vell who will be played by Jude Law.
One of the most important things to note is that in this film we are getting a much younger Nick Fury, played by Samuel L Jackson. Yes not the bald, eye patch wearing,, goatee sporting, black turtleneck and trench coat take no nonsense but a much younger one and with a head full of hair. Also we find out that Jackson’s character connects with Danvers during the events of her first solo prior to him losing an eye. So that means we are getting a two-eyed Nick Fury and no eye patch throughout the movie.
The Nick Fury we’ve seen so far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a bald-headed man, rocking an eye patch and a goatee, clad in black trench coat and turtleneck. But the one we will see on March 8, 2019 will look totally different. Few months ago, Jackson revealed that the events of Carol Danvers’ first solo outing take place prior to the one where his character lost one of his eyes – so, he won’t be putting on an eye patch in the movie.
In the photos we see that Jackson has Mo-cap dots on his face which means they will be using CGI to make him Younger as they have done with Robert Downey Jr. and Kurt Russell.
In the set leaks, he’s spotted in front of a store along with Brie Larson, who is donning her superhero’s Kree armor. We dont know if this is the first time they encounter one another but can tell that something is going on. They appear to have an argument, with the aviator-turned-superhero trying a couple of times to do a bunk, but the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent getting in the way each time. One shot finds Captain Marvel shoving Nick Fury, apparently in an attempt to hide from someone. Check out the video and photos below (via Hollywood Pipeline.com)
also thanks to HollywoodPipeline.com photos of Larson and her stunt double running have become available.
